Sunday mornings have always seemed more serene than beginnings to work days; even nature seems to be prepared for the traditional day of rest. Last night brought the typical summer afternoon thunderstorms and when the sun popped over the treetops this morning the full benefit from those nourishing rains were evident.
I still marvel at our garden after seeing virtually the same flowers year after year. There is something about the newness and rebirth after winter that still fascinates me.
Here are a couple shots I took this morning- a background like this makes for an awfully peaceful, quiet few moments!
Keep in mind, I'm no photographer and have no fantastic camera. These pictures barely scratch the surface of how beautiful these flowers actually are!
