Coox Concept - Future of Cooking?

I love concept pieces... Cars, appliances, phones, on and on. It's always refreshing to see what creative folks can come up with to solve a need in a specific area.

The Coox cooking concept came from the mind of Antoine Lebrun a couple of years ago and was presented as part of an Electrolux design challenge.

Let's take a look:

Cooking on the go? The first thing I thought of when I saw this was how I like to iron clothes. I set up my ironing board squarely in front of what ever show is on the tube and iron away. With the Coox, I could saute' while watching Maury- Just wheel that bad boy right to the living room!

See the guy reclining in the right hand corner? That's totally me. Ha!

So what do you think? Perfect for tailgates? Outdoors? While watching the television?

Tailgate Thursday - Dead Man Tailgates!

Autumnal Saturdays around the country bring out the best tailgaters to ever see a football game. Some are decidedly more creative than others.

What does a tailgater need? Grill, cooler, place for a serving line... Sounds good right?

And then came this...

Nice, huh? Leave it to an industrious morgue employee Auburn follower to take fandom to a whole new level(beyond the grave, perhaps).

I need to find this tailgate soon... It's almost Halloween, after all!

Tailgate Time! What is Cornhole?

Today officially the first tailgate Saturday of the new college football season. If you happen to be on a college campus one weekend during football season, you're bound to run in to someone playing cornhole...

It's a pretty fun game once you know the rules! Stay away from those injuries though!

It's FOOTBALL Week!

If you didn't wake up today thinking that Monday should be Friday and that the first glorious football Saturday should be tomorrow, you probably don't like football quite as much as I do.

*grin*

After what seems like years and years of scandal and off-season antics, college football starts this week. I can't be happier. Finally, sports radio has something to talk about other than RBIs and the sights/sounds/smells of tailgate season reach a fever pitch(too bad it's still 95 degrees outside).

This might be what heaven looks like...

So in honor of the impending autumn awesomeness, we'll be joining in with the throngs of other college football fans by wearing our favorite teams colors on Friday, September 2. It's called College Colors Day and has grown like wildfire since its first event in 2005.

Go register your company at College Colors Day and you might even win a big tailgate party on them!
Especially in the South, sporting your team's colors in the fall is a given(sometimes even at church). Weddings are postponed(or have flat screens at the reception), businesses close in the middle of the day, families divide, even your best friend may not speak to you until after the New Year.... all for football.

The blog will be all football/tailgate, all week! So dust off that shaker and get your grill ready... Football is here at last!

Tailgating - Shoot-A-Brew Cooler

Just when you feel that can getting slightly empty, the thought of convincing someone else to bring you a fresh spot of your favorite beverage becomes evident. You remind everyone that you must hold down this lawn-chair for fear of it floating away- and still no one volunteers to bring you a drink.

Never an issue... anymore!

Enter the Shoot-A-Brew cooler. Ultra-fantasticness.

The cooler will hold a case of whatever satisfies the thirst you're having with a specific compartment for ice. A water-proof remote is included and will the favorite button to push at the tailgate. The cooler can toss a standard beverage 8 feet or so every 2 seconds. Drink up!

Doesn't hurt that they have some rockin' promo videos. You can pre-order these gems at the Shoot-A-Brew site but you should really hurry because it'll be limited production. For just $295, it's better than paying someone to run to the cooler for you.

Friday Find - Tailgating Innovations

With the college football season upon us and planning for our opening weekend tailgate at Auburn University tomorrow it made perfect sense to keep the Friday Find in line.

At this point, are there really words that can describe the perfection of a Tailgating Innovations set-up? Tailgating is a fine social event at football stadiums across the nation and in the South, it becomes an art. For a football nut like me, the only drawback to tailgating from sun-up til game time(which we plan to do tomorrow, with a 6pm local kickoff) is that I'll miss all the other games going on throughout the day. The Tailgating Innovations trailer prevents the hauling of one's tv to campus for the day... very nice. Featuring a 47" HDTV as the centerpiece of the tailgating luxury, the trailer also has a grill on a 180 degree swing-arm, lots of cabinet storage inside, electrical outlets, Sony surround-sound system and a pre-wired satellite system. Stock the trailer up at home and the trip to and from the game gets lots easier.
Sure would look good in orange, eh?

You can talk with the folks at Tailgating Innovations and get your tailgate set-up here. Prices start in the $12,500 range.

If you will be in the Auburn area tomorrow let us know! We'd love to meet you and I'm sure that we could find a koozie to fit your favorite tailgate beverage.

Happy Friday everyone... Football is here!
