Quick Moment of Kitchen Inspiration

Goodies, here- I'm particularly a fan of the apron sink, glass fronts, open shelves and to-the-ceiling back splashes.

Ready for something startling? I actually like the chalkboard paint over the hood. So what if it looks kind of like a Starbucks... everyone I know likes Starbucks.

  1. Nice! These are real "standards" of quality design. You can't go wrong with white subway tile, shaker cabinetry, and the apron sink which is great for cooking.

  2. I'm in love with the top kitchen - LOVE the chalkboard - adds a nice touch of homey whimsy.

  3. Oh Nick, there's help available. Chalk board paint is an abomination when it's used anywhere but a chalkboard in a classroom.

  4. Bill - Thanks for the comment, glad you approved!

Susan - I like the chalkboard(not love), but I think it's just because it reminds me of Starbucks.

Paul - Yes, yes I know... Guess that accent wall in my living room was a mistake(kidding, kidding). I agree with you about no chalkboard paint and maybe I like the one above because it is a chalkboard that's slapped up on a hood and not actually painted on the cabinetry.
